In 100 days time, the 2024 Wanda Diamond League season will begin in Xiamen, China, kicking off a five-month season which will cover four continents and 12 countries.
For the world's premier one-day series in athletics, it will be the start of a milestone 15th season, in which the world's biggest track and field stars will once again go head to head at the highest level.
Xiamen will make only its second appearance on the circuit in 2024, after the meeting made a memorable Diamond League debut last September.
The inaugural Wanda Diamond League Xiamen saw standout performances from the likes of Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh, US sprinter Christian Coleman and Kenyan distance star Emmanual Wanyoni.
Wanyoni clocked a world lead of 1:43.20 in the men's 800m at the Egret Stadium, while Mahuchikh and Coleman both equalled the world lead with 2.02m in the women's high jump and 9.83 in the men's 100m respectively. All three athletes later went on to claim the Diamond Trophy in Eugene two weeks later.
The men's 100m and men's 800m will feature in Xiamen once again in 2024, while the women's high jumpers begin their campaign in Doha on May 10th.
