European champion Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk and 2019 Wanda Diamond League champion Shanieka Ricketts will go head to head in the women's triple jump at the fifth Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season in Oslo on June 15th.
Ukraine's Bekh-Romanchuk is one of several athletes to have broken the 15-metre barrier in the women's triple jump, having produced a world-leading 15.02m on her way to glory at the European Championships in Munich last summer.
She is ranked number two in the world behind Ricketts, who claimed silver at last year's World Athletics Championships in Oregon and will this year be hoping to regain the Diamond Trophy she won in 2019. A four-time Diamond League meeting winner, Ricketts is also the reigning Commonwealth champion in the women's triple jump.
Fellow Jamaican Kimberly Williams is also set to compete in Oslo, as are American athletes Tori Franklin and Keturah Oji.
It is already shaping up to be a classic year at the Bislett Games this year, with men's pole vault world record holder Mondo Duplantis set to return to Oslo and South African star Wayde Van Niekerk set to make his Diamond League comeback in the men's 400m.
The Wanda Diamond League meeting in Oslo is the fifth leg of athletics' premier one-day series, which comprises 14 of the most prestigious events in global track and field. Athletes compete for points at the 13 series meetings in a bid to qualify for the two-day Wanda Diamond League Final in Eugene on 16th-17th September.
