A total of 19 World Athletics Championships medallists will continue their Wanda Diamond League campaigns the very first Xiamen Diamond League meeting in China this Saturday.
The Wanda Diamond League Xiamen will be the first series meeting on Chinese soil since 2019, and it will feature some of the biggest stars from the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, which finished on Sunday.
Women's high jump champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh will continue her Diamond Trophy defence in Xiamen, as will fellow world champions Soufiane El Bakkali (3000m steeplechase), Grant Holloway (110m hurdles), Ivana Vuleta (long jump) and Marileidy Paulino (400m).
Long jump gold medallist Hugues Fabrice Zango, 800m champion Marco Arop and surprise discus winner Laulauga Tausaga make up the set of eight world champions in Xiamen, with a further 11 silver and bronze medallists also out to pick up precious Diamond League points in China.

Xiamen is the 12th Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season, and one of the last chances for athletes to earn points in their bid to qualify for the series final in Eugene on September 16-17th.
