Reigning Olympic 100m champion Lamont Marcell Jacobs is set to renew his longstanding rivalry with two-time Diamond League champion Fred Kerley at the sixth leg of athletics' premier one-day series in Oslo on May 30th.
US sprinter Kerley and Italian star Jacobs locked horns several times last season after their war of the words in April and May set the tone for a fierce rivalry in the men's sprints.
In the end, both missed out on the world and Diamond League titles in 2023, but there will still be plenty of pride at stake when the two rivals meet in Oslo later this month.
They will be joined at the Bislett Games by Akani Simbine, who got his Diamond League campaign off to a flyer with victory in Suzhou in April.
The Wanda Diamond League Oslo will also feature a star-studded line-up in the women's 400m hurdles, as Norwegian home favourite Amalie Iuel takes on world number two Shamier Little and Jamaican stars Janieve Russell and Rushell Clayton.
The Wanda Diamond League is the premier one-day meeting series in athletics. It comprises 15 of the most prestigious events in global track and field. Athletes compete for points at the 14 series meetings in a bid to qualify for the two-day Wanda Diamond League Final in Brussels on 13th-14th September.
