The Wanda Diamond League is back! After the drama of the Olympics, the world's best athletes return to action in athletics' premier global one-day series this week at the Athletissima meeting in Lausanne.
Thursday's meeting is the first of four remaining chances for athletes to earn points as they bid to qualify for the Wanda Diamond League Final in Brussels on September 13th-14th.
While the likes of Botswana's Letsile Tebogo and Ukraine's Yaroslava Mahuchikh will be hoping to build on their Olympic success, others such as Dutch hurdler Femke Bol and Norwegian distance ace Jakob Ingebrigtsen are out to bounce back from disappointment in Paris and set their sights on the last global title of the outdoor season.
The action will start at 19:45 local time (GMT+2) with the women's shot put and the main two-hour broadcast window will begin at 20:00 local time with the men's 400m.
