Ryan Crouser and Roje Stona will return to Wanda Diamond League action in Rome on August 30th, just two weeks after claiming Olympic gold in the men's shot put and men's discus in Paris.
2021 Diamond League champion Crouser overcame early-season injury issues to defend his Olympic title in Paris, throwing 22.90m to beat compatriot and rival Joe Kovacs.
Crouser will face Kovacs once again in Rome, in a field which also includes the likes of Olympic bronze medallist Rajindra Campbell, fellow American Payton Otterdahl and Italy's own Leonardo Fabbri.
Stona stunned the discus world when he won a thrilling Olympic final with 70.00m in Paris, beating Diamond League champion Matthew Denny and world record holder Mykolas Alekna to the top of the podium.
All three Olympic medallists will be reunited in Rome, as Stona aims to claim his first ever Diamond League win in a competition which also includes Slovenia's Kristjan Ceh and Sweden's Daniel Stahl.
A total of nine Olympic champions will be in action at the Pietro Mennea Golden Gala, which is the penultimate chance for athletes to earn points on the Road to the Final and secure a shot at the Diamond Trophy in Brussels on September 13-14th.
