2023 was a vintage year for the Wanda Diamond League. Seven world record and 19 series records were broken in the course of the season, as global superstars like Faith Kipyegon, Mondo Duplantis and Gudaf Tsegay put on one of the greatest shows in the series' fourteen-year history.
The greatest season in Diamond League history began with trash talk among the world's best sprinters, and ended with another flurry of historic records at the Wanda Diamond League Final in Eugene. The likes of Wayde Van Nierkerk and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone made long-awaited Diamond League comebacks, while there were surprises and redemption for the likes of Matthew Denny, Karsten Warholm. Rai Benjamin and Jakob Ingebrigtsen.
