Olympic 200m champion Letsile Tebogo and high jump world record holder Yaroslava Mahuchikh will both launch their Wanda Diamond League campaigns at the season opener in Xiamen in 100 days time.
Tebogo and Mahuchikh have both confirmed their attendance at the Red Star Macalline Wanda Diamond League Xiamen on April 26th, which will be the first step on the Road to the Final in athletics' premier one-day series.
Mahuchikh is the reigning Diamond League champion in the women's high jump, having taken the title in each of the last three years, and she will be looking to emulate the form which saw her achieve sporting immortality in 2024.
The Ukrainian broke the world record with her astonishing 2.10m jump at the Wanda Diamond League Paris in July last year, before going on to claim her first Olympic gold medal in the same city a month later.
Tebogo also established himself as one of the sport's biggest stars in 2024, claiming four Diamond League victories and sweeping to 200m gold and 4x400m silver for Botswana at the Olympics.
The African superstar will be aiming to claim his first ever Diamond League title in 2025, having narrowly missed out in a surprise defeat to Kenny Bednarek in last year's final in Brussels.
The Wanda Diamond League is the elite one-day meeting series in global athletics. It comprises 15 of the most prestigious events in global track and field. Athletes compete for points at the 14 series meetings in a bid to qualify for the two-day Wanda Diamond League Final, which will be held in Zurich on 27th and 28th August 2025.
