Wanda Diamond League champion Grant Holloway will compete alongside home heroes Kevin Mayer and Rénelle Lamote at the Meeting de Paris on June 9th as the American looks to defend the 110m hurdles Diamond Trophy in 2023.
Holloway, who claimed his first Wanda Diamond League title with victory at the series final in Zurich last September, will be out to pick up valuable points at the Stade Charléty in his bid to qualify again for the season finale and defend his crown on home soil in Eugene.
Olympic silver medallist in 2021, Holloway was crowned world champion at Eugene's Hayward Field last season, so he knows he can deliver in the stadium where this year's Wanda Diamond League Final is set to be held.
His appearance at Meeting de Paris will be his first in the French capital since 2019, when he finished sixth on his Wanda Diamond League debut.
Holloway will be joined by decathlon world champion Kevin Mayer and 800m star Rénelle Lamote, both of whom are expected to shine in front of their home crowd.
"Meeting de Paris has a special place in my schedule. I’ve enjoyed some great moments here with several personal bests. Each time I feel like I transcend myself in what is a fantastic stadium for our sport, where the spectators are close to us and I really feel at home given the incredible public support," said Mayer.
"Running on home soil is also an added pressure because I really want to do well," added Lamote.
